    Hi everyone!
I started pole dancing a 3 months ago and I am a major tech nerd!

So I was wondering if anyone is using fitness trackers during their workouts and, if so, which one.
I made a variety of searches on the internet and reckoned that the only ones that could be used safely are the clip-ons that you put directly on your pants/bra.

I am very curious to know what other polers are doing and hope to hear from you all very soon!!

Hi, I don’t know of anyone who has used a fitness tracker. I would worry it might fall off. Let us know if you figure anything out!

    Hey!
I’ve actually never heard of any kind of fitness tracker that is compatible with pole dancing.
For most of the ones you wear, it’s usually for heart rate, cardio, distance… that sort of thing.
I’ve used the My Fitness Pal app a little bit, but they have no entries for pole dance in their databases- you basically have to make your own personal ones and guess how many calories it burns, what you did, how long you held it for… it’s just a hassle trying to break dancing down that way.
If you do find something else that fits better, let us know!

I used one as an experiment a couple of times. It is a polar ft7 and I was looking for a calorie burn estimate doing an hour of pole. I stopped wearing it because it kept getting in the way, especially on inverts or getting into a frog or up into Diablo. The watch bit was quite bulky and it bruised the top of my hand when I landed clumsily going into frog.
