I don’t know if anyone else has experienced this, but sometimes after a pole workout, my arms are super pumped. Like, not a normal post-workout pump, but EXTREME pump. It’s uncomfortable and sticks around for like a day or so (sometimes longer) after a pole workout. Would the conditioning for forearms prevent this if I tacked it on after a workout? Has anyone else experienced this?? Thanks in advance 🙂

Are you sure it’s not muscle soreness?

At first I thought it was when it happened immediately after the training session. It concerned me after I started getting it while doing light chores. I see a PT for my wrist, and asked her about it this morning. She showed me some stretches I could do and some foam rolling techniques to open up the outlet between the shoulder and clavicle. She speculated it could be compression from the muscles/tendons around that area.

Yes, it sounds like some sort of compression or swelling. I suggests always stretching even for a few minutes after pole, focus on the hands, wrists, forearms and shoulders. I hope you feel better soon! You can find a bunch of stretches in the stretching section.

I don’t think I understand what you mean by pump… or post-workout pump. Can you explain?

Lola, I assumed she meant the feeling and look you’re muscles have after lifting, they get larger and fuller, but it doesn’t last.

Yes, Veena, that was exactly what I was referring to 🙂 like a post workout pump, but way more intense and uncomfortable. Doing the stretching has helped a lot!
