NavinahHello ladies! This is my first post and to say I’m excited about my pole journey would be a complete understatement. I asked for a pile for Christmas, got it. Went to a class just days ago to get face to face fundamentals, loved it. I have always had a rhythm inside me and a constant urge to just effing dance. Well, I believe I have finally got my opportunity to give myself the freedom I’ve always longed for..with pole. I am a SAHM of 3, on the cusp of 30 and couldn’t be more thrilled to welcome pole in my life. I will post photos/video of what I have learned so far when I can and just continue to work in flexibility and strength as I move forward. As much as is like to get lessons, my hubby is in a job transition so I’m not trying to spend much extra these days, which in ok with. I think flex and strength are my priority ATM. If anyone has tips for newbies like me, feel free, I am completely open. I am somewhat flexible d/t prior yoga practice but as y’all know, this is different. Anyway, rambling.. Please offer any words of wisdom for an at home poler. Looking forward to being part of a sisterhood 💪

    **I realize now that I should’ve stared this as a discussion(obviously I’m new 😁).

I suggest getting the lessons here because there are many many many beginner lessons, and lessons for other things like flexibility, hoop, chair, lap dance, you name it.

Navinah there is not a welcome that can compare to being a part of the pole community that you are about to receive. I remember when I first welcomed pole into my life and the fulfillment it gave me. I felt like the longing to express myself had finally manifested itself. It’s an incredible feeling, the rush and satisfaction of achievement whether it be a new move or the way your body looks. I will continue to pole until I physically cannot pole no more, and you will too, because you’re already falling in love. I am extremely happy to say welcome to the community, if you stick with it you will continue to transform physically, mentally and love your body and all its capabilities.

My advice is make a list of at least 5 challenging moves to execute and don’t move on until you can do each one (both sides)at least 3 times consecutively. Lastly, FREESTYLE. Freestyle FREEEEESTYLE. You will gain stamina and discover combinations but most importantly you will develop your style. Good luck on your pole journey and may it be beautiful.

Thank you thank you for the info. I definitely plan on purchasing classes as soon as I can. I will also write down 5 moves and keep at em, posting progress. ATM I have printed Veenas gallery page here and have it posted on my basement wall 😎 I will put my goal page right next to it! It’s a bit dark down there so video may be a bit tricky, we will see.
