One of the pleasures of being a small business owner is having the opportunity to meet other small business owners who truly care about their craft! Today I was able to do just that, meeting Dorian and his beautiful daughter, who also happens to have cool, funky blue and green hair!
Dorian handcrafts all kinds of custom pole, aerial and circus equipment and it’s clear he puts tons of care and love into each piece! Dorian was a great guy, super nice and an honest to god Jedi. He made his own bending machine and is continually enhancing it he also made his own oven for baking the powder coating on the aerial equipment he makes. If you are going to buy a lyra or lollipop you gotta go through this guy.

He is very helpful and a nice guy!! Helped me pick out what I need especially when I asked all kinds of question 😉 now waiting for my new gem to come home soon.

Veena I love the idea to learn Lyra, I contacted Dorian but he told me he doesn’t sell the rigging equipment. Do you know where I can buy it?

@Veena, which diameter do you recommend? I’m 5.7″, and also how thick 1.25″ would be good?

Sorry for the delay…I’ve been sick and feel so behind! Lol To know how big you want your hoop sit on the floor measure from the floor to your head add 2 inches. That’s ONE way to decide on size. For the grip size, know that the smaller the size the bigger the ouch factor when hanging from one leg or elbow! Off hand I don’t remember what size I have I know it’s not the largest and not the smallest lol
