Hi Veena, I started working on my bad side for front split, and I think I over stretched it, I feel sharp pain every time I’m working on splits at this side, I’m trying not to work on this side, but I’m trying to maintain it a little flex by light stretching. I take concentrate curcum, dring lot of water, working on strengthening this eared, and still don’t feel a great relive..what else can I do? The physician told me to warm this place, and smooth some topical anti inflammations..but still the healing is way too slow. I’m using a tennis ball as you recommended and it’s really helpful, but it’s not enough.. What also can I do? Thank you

Hamstrings can take a long time to heal, keep dong what the DR. suggested. When you workout make sure you warm that area fully and add some foam rolling or tennis ball massage before working out too. One of the worst things you can do is overstretch again, so take it easy, don’t try and stretch to gain right now. I don’t know who long ago you overstretched but try giving the leg a full week without stretching, then slowly work back into it only stretching if super warm and after foam rolling, but do not stretch to GAIN until there is no pain.

Even if it’s been 2 months try taking a full week off, no stretching. If you’ve been trying to stretch without giving it rest it can take longer to heal, giving it a full week won’t hurt. Then start off slowly and making sure you’re super warm. I hope you start to feel better soon!!!
