Hello. I was wondering if anyone here has any russian layback advice? It’s my obsession at the moment, but I can’t seem to get it right. πŸ™
Everything goes well at first, my grip is good and I can let my hand go and lay back just fine, but when I try to bend my back/or if I stay in it too long, I lose the grip from the kneepit and start sliding down. The only reason why I haven’t fallen on my head (yet) is because I hook the upper foot. This is really driving me crazy because it’s such a beautiful move. πŸ˜€

What is your entry? Static or Spin?

It’s a favorite move of mine as well. I’m brainstorming tricks but, pushing hard into it with your hands really locks you in.

I’ve used static pole and I have gone to it from gemini. I think the problem might be that when I start to arch my back and reach the pole begind my head, my lower leg (the one with the kneepit on the pole) moves slightly and the grip goes. Maybe I should just try to be quicker with arching my back and getting my hands on the pole?

    Thanks for your reply. πŸ™‚

    I think that’s a difficult entry.

I find wrist sit and martini to be the easiest entries. Here are me doing both Γ°ΕΈΛœβ€Ί
