hello all I’m new to the site hope your all good?

Just need a bit of advice really any is greatly appreciated:)

I have been off pole for the past two years and haven’t really done any exercise I went back to a lesson 3days ago and god I have missed my pole kisses lol (well some off them anyway) I know in time they will go.
Basically my muscles are killing me, I knew this would happen with me not participating in any form off exercise but is there anything I can do to help the muscles heal quicker? As I want to get back on my pole and practice my new moves, just need to get rid of these achy muscles first.
I have tried an Epsom salt bath, massaging a little its now day 3 and still no sign of comfort.

Any other advice is greatly appreciated and needed to help me soothe these aches.

    Thank you xx

Hi! Welcome back to pole and to SV! There’s nothing you can do to speed up muscle recovery, time is what’s helpful. There are things that can help you FEEL better! Get enough sleep, eat well, foam roll, stretch after training, take a hot bath, drink lots of water and don’t sit around d for too long. Sitting will make muscles more stiff!

You might want to check out the 30 day take off program. I designed it to help you build strength with out tons of soreness!! 💪🏻

I hope you feel better soon!

I will check out that program though as I also want to teach myself at home 🙂 thanks again xx

Welcome back love! Veena’s advice is definitely the way to go to reduce the discomfort while you recover. Expanding upon her suggestions you may also find some additional relief from arnica gel (helps with bruising and sore muscles.) You might also try Biofreeze or some other brand of cooling or warming therapy topical. Heating pads are always helpful to me, especially for my lower back when I am idle and not moving around a lot. Sitting idle for too long definitely makes me incredibly stiff. If I have been sitting for too long, I make sure to stand up and move for a minute or two. Even if its a walk to the fridge to top of my water, it helps.
