Hello – I’m really struggling with over-all slipperiness. The discussions I’ve seen on this site all seem to talk about hand-slipping. I need help with all-over-sweating – legs, hands, even my kneecaps will slip if I am crawling on the floor! It is extremely discouraging because once it starts I can’t practice anything else. I don’t seem to be particularly sweaty in everyday life (meaning it isn’t a medical condition type thing) but when I’m poling I’m hopeless. Today in class I couldn’t even participate once it started and I was close to tears because I could not stay on the pole for the life of me, and we were working on skills I already have – so they weren’t new or super strenuous. Everyone says it will stop eventually but I’m still waiting. I will try anything.

https://www.amazon.com/Kleinerts-Body-Antiperspirant-Wipes-Count/dp/B00H8APE4W This is what I use sometimes when I’m sweating really bad. Especially during the summer. Each application lasts a week. It doesn’t work for my hands but it works on my body. It does slightly/ burn and tingle but I feel it is worth the results.

Thank-you. It is worth a try. Is it bad for you? Sound great for what I need but also makes me wonder what’s in it!

You can look up the ingredients online. It blocks your sweat glands. It has been a lifesaver for me. I use it during the summer and for performances. When you start to get hot you may feel some tingling in your sweat glands the first day or two. It doesn’t bother me bit it might bother others.

Click on the link and scroll down, it shows the ingredients. Basically the same thing underarm antiperspirants are made of but stronger

Some people feel antiperspirants are ” bad” for you. I can’t answer that for you personally. But since I’m ok with antiperspirants and haven’t found solid evidence for myself that I shouldn’t use it, I will continue to use it

Tango, obviously, I am such a beginner and have far less experience than all the girls here. During my short pole journey and frustrations not being able to hold myself, I bought all these different products to improve the grip and tried them all and they all were good for something but not everything. Then after many tries, and successful ones, I like the best the chalk balls. https://www.amazon.com/Z-Athletic-Gymnastics-Climbing-Weight-Lifting/dp/B001KGA1L6/ I rub the ball slightly on my feet, calves, knee caps (yes, mine sweat too) and whatever sweats, and it works great… I reapply here and there and it’s great. I know some studios don’t like them because of the mess, but if you are careful, you can remain quite clean. Have you tried those before?

I usually use Tite grip on the backs of my knees and other spots where I need it when practicing or performing, typically only in the summertime though, its very humid where I live. Most of the time, I just use a towel and alcohol and just wipe off to stay dry. I don’t typically perspire heavily unless I am really hitting cardio hard but there are days when I just can’t seem to keep it all under wraps. Tite grip usually delivers though. For hands I usually use dry hands and sometimes use Tite Grip as a base.

For over-all sweatiness Dirty girl poletice works best for me. You put it on before you start poling. It doesn’t work if you wait until you are sweaty to use it. I use that as a preventative and also use dry hands. I have tried many other hut none work as well as dry hands and dirty girl.
