I read that the Titanium is grippier but still silverish, just more matte.

Is there a big difference between the two? (chrome and titanium)

On X-pole’s site I can order a Chrome pole, pay forty dollars shipping, and end up with a total of about 340…

If I order from Veena, I can get a Titanium pole, free shipping (and probably tax) and pay around 329.

So if I can get the fancier pole for less that what Xpole wants for the Chrome….

And there’s no major difference that could affect my poling….

I definitely want the Titanium pole.

    Can someone help?

    Thanks! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

I think the titanium poles that Veena have available are only in the gold color, but I could be wrong… Some countries other than the US have the silver titanium ones available if you order straight from X-Pole, like I know NZ and Aussie land do… I still recommend ordering from Veena if you’re not that picky, though https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

I haven’t tried a titanium pole (mine is chrome) but I’ve heard the grip is better than chrome, and that the gold titanium is slightly grippier than the silver titanium (heard that from Rouge, they have quite a variety of poles at their studio). But whether or not it’s a huge difference or not, I’m not sure.

If I don’t find a cure for my super sweaty hands in the near future I’m going to be setting my sights on a titanium one, too… so I’m interested in any responses from some people who know more about this than I do, too!

Sorry I couldn’t be more help, but I would double check on the colors of the titanium ones from wherever you order from if you’re set on getting a silver titanium one instead of gold…

Yeah that was another concern. I don’t really want a gold pole.

I kind of assumed Veena’s were platinum because I thought gold Xpoles couldn’t be found State side. But I’m not positive.

In the US we can sell, chrome (silver) and titainium( GOLD) WE can’t get titanium in sliver or the mat finish. Why do you want titanium so bad??

I don’t know, to be honest.

I’m not sure which to go with, so that was why I was asking which was better. But I’ve read through several other posts, and I think Titanium might be too grippy for where I live. I’ll probably just go with the chrome.

    Thanks for the help. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_thumright.gif

If it’s warm and humid more often than not you may want to go with chrome because TG is very grippy. We;ve entered spring here and my girlfriend took down her TG because it was so grippy and hte pole burn was really bad.

I’m the queen of sweaty hands have not noticed TG being any better. Chrome is better than stainless in that it warms up quicker and seems to stay warmed up longer. With that being said…stainless is great in summer. (x-pole is not available in stainless steel.)

I have stainless steel – supposedly the most slippery pole and I do ok on it in summer. I have an x -pole and do well on it all year round but find it too grippy in consideration to my stainless steel pole in summer. I have a choice most don’t – so I suggest chrome over TG if anything because we (USA) are going into our summer season and it will be more manageable. You can purchase an upgrade of tg A and B poles for your pole for winter.

heard that from Rouge, they have quite a variety of poles at their studio.
yes, Foxy, you can come play any time…

TG is grippier than TS. Just. Our TS pole has finally broken in (thanks Sass!) and is pleasantly grippy.
Chrome I’ve found very slippery. I have dry skin and need titanium to help the grip.
Stainless, when broken in seems gripper than chrome. Also chrome is very soft and scratches easily, especially if you don’t take off your rings. Ask PoleGirlSonia.

We’re just out of summer and I still liked TG in summer. Our summer was very humid, but not overly hot. Still getting 20C in late Autumn. YAY!!!
The suggestion of getting Chrome for summer and TG for winter may work, depending on your weather conditions.

    Hiya guys,
I have just sold my chrome pole and bought a TG pole. I have only had the opportunity to have a go on it once since I bought it and instantly i noticed it was definitely grippier than the chrome. I suffer a lot from sweaty hands and really had trouble with a chrome 50mm pole (I do have very small hands). I bought a 45mm pole so it has made such a difference. Because I have a broken toe at the moment I haven’t been able to give my new pole a good working in yet, but personally for a person with sweaty hands I do recommend the TG pole over the chrome. Everyone is different though so I guess until you get to try them both it’s hard to tell. I guess ultimately if you want to be able to dance on any pole in the world the bigger the size and the more slippery it is, the better off you will be as it will give you more opportunity to develop your hand strength!!!

I’ve had issues with sweaty hands, too, and I think I may have found a product to help with that, but I’m still considering going for the titanium… BUT I want the platinum color and I’m in the US. So could I feasibly order a titanium pole in the platinum from another country and just be charged a few limbs for shipping???

I can’t do this right away because I’m broke from buying my chrome one, though… unless anyone wanted to straight-up trade. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_dwarf.gif
