I made the decision 18 months ago to quit going to the studio I had been going to. She had raised prices by quite a bit and I had just quit my job and started my own business. A year later I was doing really well with my business and felt I had the money to start again. So 6 months ago I started back at the studio. I’ve loved this studio. Only 4 students per class so it’s like a semi-private lesson every week. Sadly I just got a group text stating that the owner is closing the studio to move forward in other areas of her life. I totally get that but am so sad. She’s the only studio in town and the closest one is 45 minutes away. I just can’t justify that kind of distance with a family and a business. Thank goodness for SV and the lessons and community here. I feel like I can continue my pole journey. I am thinking I need a stage pole so I can practice outside in the summer. I have limited space in my tiny house and I’m always hitting the walls. Going to the studio and having plenty of room to work each week made my limited home space not so bad. Now I’m gunna need some extra space….

I have also been thinking about how fun it would be to have an outside pole! If you decide to go for it, please post your experiences and pictures. 🙂

As a home poler and someone who’s tallish, I understand the frustration of needing space! I’m bless right now to have a great studio in home. Maybe there a room you don’t use that you could put a pole in?
