Any of you own the powder coated x poles? I’m curious about the grip and it lists this finish as good for sensitive skin. I tend to bruise easy because I am super pale. I don’t expect the bruising to go down because well, that’s part of pole, but I am curious if this finish is more gentle for skin? Also, how is the grip in comparison to chrome? I currently have chrome but I would like more grip….

I do not have one… however I believe what they mean by sensitive skin is skin with allergies to metal.

The coating makes it safe for people with allergies to nickel or other metals. The enhanced grip would make it grippier than chrome, and that would be great… but also not gentle to the skin. I find that on grippier pole finishes I get way more bruises and pole burns 🙂

I have 2 one is our branded veena pole (no longer sold) that grip was lovely but still took some getting use to because it was so grippy when warm but didn’t leave me with calluses which was great.

The x pole PC has more, hmmm bite? I guess would be the word. It’s not more gentle than any other finish, it’s possibly more apt to give you pole burn (I’ve found). I think as Allyson mentioned they might be referring to skin allergies.

If more grip is what you want I have found that this combo helps (no they didn’t pay me to say this) in fact neither company even said thanks for the mention lol https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jgvvc2uvcFw
