  Rubbing alcohol?

  Hi!

  So this would be my first time cleaning my chrome x pert x pole, and I’ve just bought some rubbing alcohol, 50% isopropyl alcohol… However it also contains Methyl Salicylate too.

  It says the ingredients are isopropyl alcohol, Deionized water, methyl salicylate FDC Blue No. 1 and yellow no. 5
  And an inactive ingredient of water.

  Would this be okay to use on my chrome pole? As I’ve read you shouldn’t use pure water on it due to higher likelihood of chipping…

  I use the clear rubbing alcohol. I have never used the one with the food coloring in it. I don’t know if that would make any difference other than having a nice smell.

  It won’t hurt it any. The higher % you can get the better but I don’t know what’s available where you are. I use 99% or 70% when I can’t get the 99.

  Ah, thanks guys! Yeah, I’m from the UK and I’ve never even heard of rubbing alcohol xD… But I just found that on ebay.
