ok, so i can make a video through my webcam, not the best quality but it’s something right?? i’ll work on my routine/challenge for the week, but im not sure i’ll have a video for this week (still need to figure out youtube and figure out if i can even upload it https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_joker.gif ) the only thing im worried about guys, is that i tend to be a slinky/sexual kind of dancer, i dont mean to be but its just how i dance. im worried to post something because i dont want to offend anyone, so i’m bringing it up now and if anyone is uncomfortable i wont post it.

Hey Taylor I wouldn’t worry about it too much I think everyone is pretty open to all the styles of dance on this site. Plus your suppose to be 18 to be a member. I know It wont bother me https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_geek.gif so I say go for it, sexy pole dance comes most naturally to me too. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif

I hear you Taylor I think I had mentioned that concern before with my floorwork am not really sure how to do "filler moves" and floorwork without it looking atleast somewhat sexually suggestive I don’t mean like humping the floor, but ya know.. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif I realize we’re all adults here, and as said it’s sexually suggestive, not soft core porn, but def. didn’t want to make anyone (including myself) uncomfortable Well I’ll repeat after you Taylor.."whew!" https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/bom.gif I have recored a little bit, but really have to figure out how to edit ( so don’t spend half the video watching me walking back and forth to radio or standing trying to figure out what to do next https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_confused.gif )
and and post Am going to redo challenge as used a long sparkly necklace as prop to play with, but found it got in way of certaoin moves Can’t wait to finally have a video up here so you guys can feel like you know me better and am looking fowward to constructive feedback I have got a couple of pics I am going to see if I can get scanned onto comp. Nothing fancy just snapshots of practice, but atleast can finally put a face to a name https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_profileright.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_profileleft.gif

If a miracle ever happens with me and my digital camera and I someday magically know how to use it will be able to post pics easily for now have to figure a way to get pic on here with no personal scanner or digital camera Maybe wal-greens can help out with there photo lab options.. hmm.. well anyway am really looking foward to seeing all the latest vids and posting my own materuial https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_sunny.gif

    Happy Poling Everyone!!!

Whew! i’m glad im not the only one who was worried about that. i mean ive seen videos where the dancer is just outwardly inappropriate and stuff and i dont think im like that, but just wanted to throw it out there just in case you know? poles have you looked at veena’s videos for transitions and stuff???? i have a whole list of them too if you ever wanted more ideas for things to do in between spins. also that book i mentioned in the other forum, the "peekaboo book, pole dancing" has great transitions too.

poles i bet if you took a bunch of pix to walgreens or walmart or whereever, they could scan them and put them on a disk for you- then you just pop the disk into the computer and voila! you have pics to upload!!

i might just do something really stupid once i get my refund check from school- i might go buy a camcorder because i really want to start posting vids too……is that a dumb idea???? https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_joker.gif

I think getting a camera is a good investment it will help you to learn new and improve exsisting moves to be able see yourself (even if you have a big mirror, you can’t really get a good look at body/hand position ect
plus of cousre being able to post as well as having Veena and others see your "work" and be able to maybe give you advice on how to better something or let you know the reason your not geting a move is b/c hand is too high/low ect trying to explain by words what move your trying to do can get confusing https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_scratch.gif
and a big thing that I love about statring to tape myself is being able to look back at your videos as time goes on to see how you have improved or just to watch for fun is great i only wish I had started with that right from the start so could see how much I struggled with things I now do with ease I find that empowering and encouraging not to mention of course you can always use the camera to record other things you want to perserve on video I love photography so I realize how valuable videos and pictures get as time goes on
I have photos of friends and family that have passed away over the years and those photos are so precious to me now you just assume everytime you see/talk to a loved one there will be a next time, but life is too unpredictable to assume not to get too heavy, but I say take lots of pics and videos as they become more valuable to you over time especially the pics/vids we’re going to have from this crazy "girls with curls gone wild" video from our road trip!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_surprised.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_confused.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_batman.gif

Ya i usually go right to the hard stuff when checking out the video lessons (handspring, pencil mount ect ) but your right I really should check out her transitional moves good idea! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif

i think you’re right- i got my refund check and definitely am going to start looking at cameras- i really want to be able to post vids and after this thing with my dad it made me realize how important it is to have something to look back on- like i could use the vid camera to tape family and stuff- just being able to hear their voices and stuff while im away at school would make the camera worth the money. poles im a picture freak too- im the one in the family thats always snapping pictures even of stupid stuff like the set table at christmas time lol.

but I say take lots of pics and videos as they become more valuable to you over time especially the pics/vids we’re going to have from this crazy "girls with curls gone wild" video from our road trip!!

ahh! that made me smile, road trip sounds awesome, im down! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif

I’m not sure what you were refering to with your dad, but I hope everythings ok https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif

Ya my father is a huge fan of pics so I know I got it from him ( if it was up to my mom there would be no baby pics ect) he has got over 12 scrapbooks filled with pics, drawings i did as a kid ect very sentimantal like myself i also have scrapbooks i like them better than regular photo albums as you can add things like concert/movies tickets, decorate the pages with stuff from the craft store, and write in quirky little details about what’s going on in the picture. of course with a video as you said you also get to hear voces, catch diffrent expressions, and mannerisims def worth the money i think https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_profileright.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_profileleft.gif

oh before i forget just make sure you keep the battery fully charged and don’t keep it in a cold room last night i had the best practice session i have had in a long time it actually started horrible and was feeling very frustrated, but then i landed new move and got excited to keep going i thought i was taping everything so i could try to Finally edit/post don’t you know b/c camera was left in attic battery drained and only taped for the first 11 mins.!!! thats where i was mostly playing with radio/warming up i was so disappointed!! i can’t even go on pole for few days now as am so sore/bruised i really thought i was going to be able to post a vid and it was actually going to to be pretty decent o’well my BF was there for most of the good stuff so atleast someone saw it i was pretty upset nothing was taped, but lie he said I should be happy I got a couple new things and i can always try again next weekend but just a little tip top save you the same trouble https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_albino.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cat.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_nemo.gif

Oh bummer about the video twista https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_sad.gif At least the BF saw it. I have done stuff like that before, now I always to a test run for a few minutes and then keep checking the cam off and on. I don’t know how many times I danced a great dance only to find out I didn’t hit the record button! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_twisted.gif

I think we decided on making it a monthly challenge….this will give everyone more time. A week just flies by for me https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_eek.gif I’m waiting for someone else to post before I do…I don’t want to be first https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_redface.gif

A video camera is a great investment not only do I use it for You Tube I also use it to keep our family updated on our Mobil Me account. We post Vids of Henry every week so they get to see how hes growing, the kids Bdays and we even posted our move out to CA and the new house. It makes us feel closer. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_sunny.gif

Ya the fact that it’s taking so long just to make/post a vid or pic is a little frustrating, but my friend who is really good with that kind of stuff finally called tonight (he is very busy as works out of state and helps his family alot) so am trying to set up a time for this weekend to get a little lesson on comps. and camera ect her’s to hoping https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif

I think it’s great that it’s going to be monthly I know my week flies by and I can imagine how busy you must be
I also think it takes the pressure off a little it’s plenty of time to decide what you want to do and actually find time to do it I’m game to be the first one to put up a challenge video if i could only figure out how https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_scratch.gif

Thats great your able to stay in touch with family that way I am always telling people how important it is to take pics my father really instilled that in me kids grow up so fast, relationships end, loved ones pass away it’s how you capture a moment that becomes a memory
i bought my camera for pole dancing, but have already found it useful for family and friends speaking of family, you look amazing so soon after having Henry! Congrats on re-learning everything so quickly too! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif
