Love it or Hate it?
I take clases at Xpose fitness here in Maryland and they have names for all of the moves but as I read more and more about "poling" I see that some moves and spins are called other names than what I was taught. So here’s my question. I’m trying to find some video/instruction on a move my instructors call "Love it or Hate it". They call it love it or hate because you’ll either love the beauty and sexyness of it or you’ll hate it for the pain and torture it puts on the back of your spinning knee LOL. I personally hated it at first but have grown to love it!
I’ll try to describe it. Going right.
You stand with the pole at your right side. Lift your right leg and hook the pole behind your right knee. Grip the pole with your right hand just above your knee. Your then bend over and grab the pole with your left hand below your right leg. This is the set up for the spin, when you spin you lower your head and shoulders between your standing leg and the elevated leg and use that falling momentum to swing around the pole. As you spin you can open your leg wide for a beautiful show as you spin. I’ve also seen women pause at the end of this spin and go backwards and I’ve seen them perform the spin going backwards, where they fall back instead of forward (very very scary to try).
Does anyone know anyother names for this move. I tried my best to describe it, I hope you can figure it out LOL.
