Titanium and Chrome are different finishes on the pole. Titanium is usually gold in color (depending on what country you’re from… the US only has them in gold), and the chrome is always silver. The titanium has better grip, while the chrome is more slick. However, chrome is the standard, and if you can hold onto that, then you could hold on to pretty much anything.
Just as a side note, the 50mm instead of 45 is also the standard size. It’s easier to grip a 45, but if you can hold on to a 50, then it’ll be easier when you try to use a smaller diameter.
I personally have a 50mm chrome. Everyone has their preference; if you don’t plan on using any other pole except you’re own, then it won’t matter what you get. If you plan on using other poles, then you may want to consider getting something more standard so you don’t have problems when you transition. I second the chrome is more slippery.
we have 2 titanium at the studio, 45 and 50mm.
I like the 45 as my hands are smaller, but that’s for learning the move, once I have it, I move to the 50mm steel.Some I go straight to the steel, like laybacks. I always teach on steel and do crazy, show off tricks on the titanium, especially now as we’re heading into winter and grip goes to poohs.
Gold is more grippy than silver titanium, but in the US, gold is the only option…
My crazily good student does most of her work on our 50mm titanium. It’s her favourite.

chrome is supper slippery for me O_+ I dont like it. I’m just here to learn what I can on the pole, so I went with titanium gold. haha i doubt ill be at a club showing what I can do, I hate gold alot so it took me long thinking about chrome or TG. But I’m very happy I went with TG xpole.
