My pee is sick!!!!!
Posted by glitterhips on June 10, 2009 at 2:55 amUgh more health problems for miss Glitterhips. I know I mentioned some of you my boss was pissy about me having to pee all the time so I went to the doctor to get a dr’s note and to see if I have an overactive bladder or whatever. So he did a urine test and said he saw a few white blood cells in my urine so he sent it off to the lab to test for a uti or other infection even though i have no symptoms of infection at the moment. He called me today and left a message saying I have no infection BUT he wanted to talk to me about my test results. I’ve been freaking out ever since because I have no idea what could be going on. Im 95% positive im not pregnant..it obviously is a possibility since I am sexually active but I did the urine test 6 days after my period had ended and I haven’t had any symptoms of being pregnant. My next worry is that its some sort of std (again! why am i always so paranoid about this?!) but my gyno tested for ghonorrea/chlamydia last time i had lady business problems and i came back clean there and i havent had any odd symptoms or anything. So I have no idea what could be going on… https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_scratch.gif I just wish I didnt have to wait until tomorrow to find out! Grrrr!

I’m sorry girl. This sucks. I am thinking of you and keep us updated.

Glitter, honey, I’m so sorry to hear about your health concerns. I know you’re worried, but please keep an open mind that the urine test results could be another type of health concern other than an STD. I know that STDs can freak one out and I truly understand your fear. Please try your best not to that you might have an STD.
What I would encourage you to do is to think about your family’s medical history and consider if there are any autoimmune diseases or other health concerns that could be hereditary. I’m not trying to scare you, but urine tests can reveal kidney problems, diabetes, etc. So, really take an inventory of your family’s medical history. The more you know about these type things the more you can do to prevent and/or reduce the possibility of getting these health concerns.
Again…try your best not to worry about STD and be as proactive as you can to ease your mind.
I’ll be keeping you in my prayers sweetie!
Hugs & kisses

Oh waiting is horrible! You poor thing, but just try to relax and put it out of your mind, tomorrow brings what it brings and stressing today wont change that!
I once had to wait a month for a STD test to come back because I made the mistake of sleeping with a sleezy guy… ugh! So I know how horrible it is, luckily I had nothing, but I had spent an entire month making myself sick with worry!!
Please let us know how it goes, I’m worrying for you now but I will keep my fingers crossed and send out as much positive energy as I can across the ocean!!

I hate when they make you wait!
At the clinic I work in we give news over the phone because our patients are usually scitzing out waiting to know if they have skin cancer or not.
We give them the good or bad news over the phone so that they can start researching and gathering questions to present to us when they come in for their appointment.
I hope everything works out for you and it’s nothing serious. I think that if it was serious, he wouldn’t be making you wait.
"Ms Glitter Hips, we got your test results in and I need you to come in right away"….now that’s a statement to be worried about lol.

Yeah, waiting totally blows. I’m sorry.
OK, so I know this sounds horrible, but really, an STD is kinda part of our culture at this point. I mean, I hope that no one suffers from one, emotionally or physically, but the statistics are really high–something like 1 out of 3 sexually active people have had one or currently have an STD. We learn from our mistakes, we shouldn’t be branded with a scarlet S-T-D on our chests. So IF you have one (which you probably don’t since your last test came up clean, right?), you’ll be alright and you can get treatment. I have HPV, had treatment and had a vaginal delivery home birth with my perfectly healthy son.
Breathe, breathe, breathe.

oh glitter!! im really sorry!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_sad.gif i cant imagine how scared and upset you are. when do you go back in? tomorrow??? don’t worry honey, im sure the doctor will just tell you, "hey, you pee a lot. that’s fine" or something like that. they can’t say anything over the phone really right? because of HIPPA and all that jazz, even if its the most harmless thing, so no worries. im sure you’re going to be just fine!!! please tell us what happens after the visit!!

You poor girl! You’ve certainly been annoyed by health problems lately. As some of the other girls said, if it was something really bad the doctor wouldn’t have had you wait. I’m sure it’s nothing serious. Try to stay calm and do some deep breathing. We’re all here for you!!

Well since you were looking for a doctor’s note for work, maybe he wanted to talk to you in person about that instead??? Rather far-fetched, I know, but I’m trying… https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif
Is it possible you’re other "complications" from before are starting to manifest itself in other ways? Good news there would be there’s no STD but it’s an existing condition…. I don’t know.
I did some poking around the internet and I’m finding a lot of people that have a urine test done with white blood cells but no infection were also complaining of back pain (lower back)… are you having any pain like that??? https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_scratch.gif
Another thing I’m finding is it could be a sign of inflammation in the kidneys…http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20080302105740AAvKuZi Somewhere else I read that there could be some bleeding going on in the bladder, but that there would be red blood cells as well… can’t find the link now…
But no matter how you look at it, it looks like it’s a problem exclusive to your kidneys or bladder. Blood doesn’t normally get into urine because the kidneys filter them out. Kidney stones is another possibility. http://www.steadyhealth.com/White_blood_cells_in_urine_but_no_infection_t71754.html
But unless you asked your doctor to do a pregnancy test, I doubt that’s it. Also being pregnant itself wouldn’t cause white blood cells to be in your urine…
Disclaimer: I’m not a doctor, just a concerned friend using Google https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_tongue.gif
I’m sure everything will be fine, Glitter, and just as before, stressing about it isn’t going to make tomorrow come any faster. Remember we’re all here for you, too! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif <~~~ "hug" substitute

Ok talked to the doctor..and nothing is wrong! He just said he wanted to talk to me about my test results and if I knew any reasons I could be peeing so much, sorry if that’s too much info! But I yelled at him for phrasing it so poorly haha..I was worried!
Oh and I talked to my dad and when I told him it was nothing he said "I was kind of hoping the dr. was going to tell you he found out you were pregnant from your urine sample…I want to be a grandpa!" Ewwwww! No way!
