I’m having a lot of trouble getting the reverse grab and reverse pinwheel I can’t even really get into it because I feel such a strain in my wrist of the inside arm. If someone could help me out with what to do that would be great!

If you’re feeling a strain on your top/inside arm, then you might not be strong enough to be doing the reverse grab yet… Work on your chair spin first – in that spin, your outside arm is just there to hold you away from the pole, so your inside arm is holding your weight and will get stronger. Then work up to being able to do it with just the one hand entirely. Also work on doing it with lots of momentum; otherwise, when you try the reverse grab, your back will just run into the pole… been there, done that. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_rolleyes.gif

But you’ll get it, just work on getting that arm stronger before you hurt it. We’re all cheering you on! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif

It’s not so much a strain in the arm as it is in the wrist. I feel like my wrist is being twisted or something. Maybe I’m just making the move more complicated than it really is?

It sounds like you might be gripping the pole a little too tightly. This can result in your wrist wrapping around the pole, because your hand isn’t keeping up with your arm and the rest of your body. It can feel quite sore and twisted.
Try loosening your grip just a fraction – experiment with your grip from the chair spin first. I don’t recommend you go straight to experimenting with your grip in the reverse grab, incase you fall off!
