Sorry, I wasn't reading the part that specified a certain mm was the objective =} I was just reading the height part =]

stages are a good idea but not much room for floorwork. I know this is off topic but u mentioned you have small hands and so do I (i think) 6.5 inch hand span measurement. Im purchasing a new pole since the 50mm hurts my fingers but having second thoughts in ordering a 45mm since it might still be to big. Any suggestions? Thanks

Update the pole finally went up ,and I have been slowly exercising with it for the last week. Thank you for all of your help and advise. It was well worth the wait. Next time I move it will be to a lower ceiling height for sure lol. I start my SV lessons day 1 tomorrow. 🙂 Hope everyone is well.

I bought a Xpole… x pert titanium gold 45 mm with an extension. http://xpoleus.com/store/xpert-set-45mm-titanium-gold-p-626.html

Oh with a perm mount. I really wanted the 40mm pole but at that ceiling height it was just not a good idea due to bending of pole. 🙂 Love your video you posted. super cool lights. hope to get some similar ones for my room soon.

That’s awesome! & thanks! The lights make it even more fun to me, lol.
Enjoy your new pole 🙂 -
X-Pole strongly recommend for any pole over 11′ (3.35m) that a permanent ceiling mount or a Dome plate is used and also Competition poles (Build-A-Pole).
Nearly all top international competitions now use 4m (13′) X-Poles so 12′ is not a problem
It is so important to understand that whilst any pressure the pole may work higher than that and lots of people do use them, ‘Safety’ is paramount. Poles flex, flex reduces pressure and there no pole in the market that can over overcome this problem fully.
We hear all the time – my pole is at 12′ and is fine etc. etc. but then we see a video (only this week) of a dancer bumping (Swingout?) on a pole with no mount or Dome plate and the pole then slipping and falling in a studio. The Pole stood no chance!!! We also see Fonji’s being done on a regular basis as well !!!
Competition Pole (Build-A-Pole)
X-Pole was the first with specific competition poles and has been developing and supplying them for over 5 years. These are designed to take the pressures of extreme moves. Competition poles have another internal steel tube which is clipped and also now glued in place. This gives an overall wall thickness of around 5mm and increases rigidity and reduces flex significantly. With more a more studios requiring higher poles X-Pole has introduced ‘Build-A-Pole’ which allows studio to buy competition poles as parts selecting the parts and height they need. These are available in 40mm (1.5â€) and 45mm (1.75â€) sizes. And the special point to note with competition poles is that the main A pole (the one with the Base attached) is 8′ 4†(2.5m) in one piece so all hand work is below any joint and even more important the joint is not in the centre of pressure!!
Please contact your local X-Pole office for any information on Build-A-Pole or drop an email to tech support at xpoletech@x-pole.co.uk

Thank you X pole Tech. I already called your offices in North Hollywood last month and they helped me with my pole order. I have a perm ceiling mount with extensions. Thanks
