1st pole – protecting the ceiling with bit of plywood?

You shouldn’t need plywood. I found installing my xpert was ready on my own.

Thank you for the responses! I ended up buying an x-stage light but I will probably use a pressure mounted pole or ceiling mount in the future.

I'm actually planning on buying my first pole this week. Same as yours, the 45mm chrome x-pert. I have dry hands so I have no problems with grip. Do you think chrome is good for me? I know you're not an expert, but yeah haha. And are leg tricks hard for you? Since the pole is only 45mm? Or do you get used to it?

I had no problem going from a 50 to a 45, then 45 to 38. It's just a matter of squeezing more. Sometimes dry hands can be more difficult on chrome, but I don't have dry hands so I cannot say from experience. the only finishes I used when I was on meds that made me not sweat, were brass, stainless, and TG.

wait, not stainless. Just brass and TG. I could grip both of those fine with dry hands.
