I’ve started the plank challenge, and also (in a moment of madness) the push ups, sit ups, wall sit and leg raises challenges :/ They’re all things I’ve been trying to do anyway so I may as well get some structure on it! Eeeek! Only got a 60 second plank to start with – my core is so weak! – but thanks for the tip Kate 92 as that will really help.

Ok I’m starting today with 126s. I’ve made the mistake to look at day 30’s time… I’m scared!!! I am doing it to get more core strength, I had already tried another challenge like that 2 months ago and the results were impressive! Can’t wait to see what this one will change!!!

Ok, I did my 111 sec today!!! It was very hard though. I’m happy it’s 111 tomorrow too, and not jumping up any more. I had to really tough it out the last 25 sec. I thought I was going to crumble!

I’m afraid to say I failed at my 94 seconds again today, so have dialed it back down to easy mode for now. So tomorrow’s challenge is now 74 seconds instead of 114, and hopefully I’ll be able to keep going consistently!

@Kate92….please don’t say you failed! This isn’t a test, this isn’t a requirement. Pole dancing is your fun and your fitness, don’t relegate it to the “Responsibility” category. You are trying to get stronger, one day at a time, one sec at a time. I like how you regrouped and dialed back–but associating a passion with failure is a psychological NO, NO! An exercise instructor of mine used to say, “Practice makes improvement” instead of “Practice makes perfect”, and I remind myself of that every time I pole, or do exercises to help me improve pole. It helps me keep my sanity and remember why I do this. #thejourneyiseverything!

Ugh my 105 sec were hard. Luckily I get to do it two more days before going to 125 secs. I also started the bridge challenge with a 10lb weight on my pelvic/stomach area to give it an extra challenge. I want a nicer butt.

I’m not sure I understand the other challenges. There should be more instruction on the app. The picture of the bridge looks like it’s a half bridge, or maybe it’s like pelvic thrusts? Do you need to do a certain number or is it timed?

I wanted to check out the squats challenge (maybe for next month) with weighted squats. Is that # of squats, or do you just do one squat and hold?

With the bridge is as many as you can do. It’s not timed. I just do it as a regular bridge lift my hips and back down. Lifting one vertebrae at the time.

@Club Dynasty thank you! I’m not too disappointed with myself really, I’ve never been good at the plank so even to be able to hold it for 60 seconds now is an improvement for me! Like you say practice makes improvement, and I’m looking forward to seeing results 🙂

@Kate92 That’s the spirit!!! You know during my first challenge I kept changing everything adding seconds there taking some from an other exercise… Well at the end I was way stronger and my body had a better shape. I was so happy with it.:D Just keep that in mind.it makes every exercise easier!!!; )

I’m in the same boat as you Kate! I have one more day to get my 106 seconds. I’ve had to stop twice the last two times. But it’s interesting to note that today I stopped further into it than the first time. If I can’t get it tomorrow then I’ll drop down to easy! I’m also doing the sit-up and the bridge challenge 🙂

Did my Start Test at 92 seconds. I have done a weekend plank challenge in the past through the boot camp I was going to while back and did pretty well. I was able to hold longer in this Start Test, but got scared as to what’s in store for the 30 days so I chickened out and stopped at 1 min 30 sec. I know, I’m a whimp. Do I do Day 1 tomorrow or same as Start Test day?

I’ve always wanted to do this kind of plank challenge but not motivated by myself. Thank you for starting this thread Kate 92! hmmm, now I’m wondering about doing Start Test again tomorrow,

@Kate92-AWESOME!!! Glad to hear you’re positive, it’s only upward & onward right? Thx for starting the challenge. I started it too, and wonder what my abs will look like at the end of the 30 days. I guess I got on a soap box b/c I read statements on Veena about failure, discouragement, frustration, etc. & I become sad when something we love and gives us a sense of achievement is being used to make us feel bad.

Fair enough, that’s a good way to look at it 🙂 although I’m not passionate about the plank, to be honest I really quite dislike it, I’ve definitely improved since my start challenge 10 days ago. Baby steps!
And to whoever was asking (sorry I’m on my phone so can’t see previous posts at the moment) I wasn’t sure whether day 1 and the start test were to be done on the same day or not, but I was all eager to get started so I did mine on the same day. But I guess you can choose 🙂 I’m glad people are joining in, I think I’d have already given up without you guys!
