I’ve quietly joined too. Finished day 7 today at 160 seconds–hate it, hate it, hate it. I try to find something to watch on my ipad (pole routine, comedian, anything!) to distract me. It only helps a little.

I’ve done wall squats for more than a year now as part of physical therapy and can hold it 5 minutes so for giggles I looked up what that challenge would be on day 30–10 minutes! Eeeek! I may try one of the other challenges after finishing plank…if I manage to finish plank. I have a very hard time believing I’ll be able to hold a plank for more than six minutes when this is over. I’m on the medium level and can’t imagine what hard and extreme levels look like.

I couldn’t help myself so I looked up the pushup challenge too since I did 23 pushups yesterday during my workout. Day 30 would be 119! That’s hilarious. Is there a middle-aged female setting on this app that I’m missing?! 😉

Wow, 160 seconds?! That’s amazing! I feel at 22 years old and in generally decent shape I should be able to hold it much longer than I can (I peak at about a minute), but as we’ve been saying, practice makes improvement! Off to do my 74 seconds now (gone back to easy mode until I improve)

Also I like the idea of watching something while I do it – gonna watch an epic amazing pole routine, hopefully it’ll spur me on!

Woohoo just did day 9 at 106 seconds! 😀 I finally made it all the way through. I just had to swap my hand placement! I’m quite nervous about tomorrow’s 126 seconds though.

And a big thanks to puppy for sitting on my legs while doing it… Grrrr

Day 2 of all challenges done and I’m knackered! 80 second wall sit (can’t even imagine doing 5 mins!), 81 second plank, 17 leg raises, 11 push ups (yes, my starting point is very poor) and 38 sit ups. Stretches will have to wait until tomorrow! Everyone’s doing so well, thanks for the inspiration 🙂 Talking of which, the app I’m using gives an inspirational quote for each day of each challenge. My two faves from today: “There are 7 days in the week and someday isn’t one of them” and “This month’s choices are next month’s body”. I’d best stick with it then!

I redid my start test for plank yesterday and did 120 sec and did Day 1 today which was same. This is going to be INTERESTING!!!

I did a monthly push up challenge while back through the boot camp I used to go to. Our trainer had a different system for building up. By the end I was able to do 40, had to test in front of trainer for him to confirm proper form and going as low as required, ugh! I’m lucky if I can do 10 now lol

He also did a weekend wall sit challenge. My husband laughed at me so much because just after few seconds I was in soooooooo much pain he had to pry me off the wall!!! I couldn’t even use my legs do it myself. I tried two times thinking I can do this, oh heck no, I couldn’t. geez

Does this 30 Day Challenge have triceps dip????

They say ‘what doesn’t kill you, makes you stronger’ I finished day 9, seriously I have been doing this for more then a week? Ok day 9 was 105 sec, day 10 will be 125 and day 11 145? This might just kill me and not make me stronger.

Ahahahah today they told me not to wish for it but to work for it (or to die for it if you’re kinda pessimistic or into drama…; ) )

My quads are aching! 🙁 Tomorrow I get a day off some of the challenges – but not the wall sit! Another day of torture before I get a break from that. 101 second plank today which is a definite improvement 🙂

I’m glad you guys are all doing so well! Just did my 84 seconds and I’m honestly wondering whether I’ll have to duck out of the challenge…I’m getting lower back pain every time, even when I try tucking my pelvis/squeezing my glutes. I don’t want to end up doing more harm than good 🙁 tomorrow is a day off though, so I’ll have the break and see how I feel afterwards. I really don’t want to give up but I don’t want to damage my back either! So frustrating!!

Why not do a different core exercise instead? I’m sure no one would mind and I agree you don’t want to risk hurting your back. You could do a V sit instead, or something else, and hold for increasing amounts of time so you’ve still got a 30 day challenge 🙂

    Ooh what’s a V sit? 🙂
