I keep hearing about 30 day challenges for everything else, so what say we make a 30 day pole challenge?  Do something pole-y every day, whether it's a full on pole practice or just a snippet of floorwork.  For added points, video it all and post your favs or a clip show at the end.

    Anyone in?

I'm already on my pole everyday!  LOL  It's not often I actually have time for a full on practice, but I have to take a little spin or pop into a trick almost every time I walk past it (or while dinner is cooking).  Too bad I can't just leave the video camera up…my kitties would knock it over and break it.  Otherwise I'd be in for sure. 🙂

That would be fun! I'd love to see my progress at my attempt at a handspring. I'm in 🙂

Sounds like fun! it'll be good for me to get into recording my practices so I can see what I need to work on.  I'm a total noob, so it'll be fun to see how much I can accomplish in 30 days!!

Oh what the hell, even if I know I can't video it, I'm in.  My goal for the first half (end of April) is to finish the spinny choreo I am working on.  🙂

I'll play along…..it'll be a good motivator…kind of like accountability partners.  Thanks for the idea "smokinangel"

Yay!  Hopefully by then I've figured out video editing, too.  I see a blooper reel coming https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif

That sounds awesome. First day will be putting tha pole back up. (Teething pug puppy decided chewing on metal feels good. He was gnawing on our metal coffee table too!!)

It'll be a perfect way to start poling again after a couple months off.

Ok, so I officially started yesterday, but didn't video. (didn't start Sat because I worked hard on Fri and it was my rest day)  Almost didn't do any pole work at all, but watched the Ugly Truth, and 'Right Round' by Flo Rida came on at the end, so I jumped up and did some impromptu dancing and a couple of spins.  That was the limit of what I did yesterday, but it was fun!  I've never practiced to music outside of my classes (which I stopped 2 months ago) because I've mostly been doing strength work, but I enjoyed it. More on schedule for later today, after work – time for a hard-core strength building session!  ^_^

My pole is down today while my leaky roof is getting fixed… wonder if the repair guy would appreciate it if I practiced booty bounces instead?  https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_confused.gif
