god should 5 year olds have muscles like that? I'm talking about the other videos where he's weight training and with a 6 pack… he doesn't look too happy half the time, hope it's not pushy fame hungry parents… or I could just be reading too much into it and should just continue being amazed he's holding the flag for that darn long!

Ollie, I agree. I personally think he might be training too much for a child. But, then again, we push our kids physical limits with other sports as well, which I also don't feel is healthy. If he is enjoying it that's great, but I think its the parents responsibility to make sure their child grows up healthy. He may truly love to train all day long but that doesn't mean the should let him. But then again….. We also don't know the story and maybe he has plenty of playtime and a very happy life.

Veena I agree…and the look on his face says it all. This kid is definitely being pushed too hard. Responsible fitness goals for kids deal with solidyfing lifelong healthy habits; what’s the point of making a kid train like this if it results in lifelong hatred of fitness and training? And we, as adults, choose to engage in a sport with a high rate of soft tissue injuries of varying severity. Some of us have already altered our fitness routines because of the impact our bodies take or injuries we sustained in the past. But a 6 y/o can’t understand and choose to accept that risk of injury. You CAN get hurt doing any activity, but this training is much riskier for a child’s body in terms of potential for permanent damage than other activities more geared towards kids natural abilities. He doesn’t have refined muscle control…he was working hard to hold that at times. Too hard.
Don’t get me wrong, it’s great to engage with sports as a kid…but he’s 6. At six, kids should learn and be active primary through play-based activities. -
I heard of this kid a few years ago on a bodybuilding forum. He is no different than any chold who has a natural ability and has been pushed by their parents. I vaguely remember reading something that if he told his dad he no l;onger wanted to do this he would stop. They are from Romania and quite honestly much of this is just a way of life. Think of any of the young circus kids that have been taught things like this from a very young age. What is so different about this of the ballerinas or contortionists or even the pianists?
