    Sorry guys, this isn't a penis post….LOL

Just wanted to say that I studied soooo hard for ACE.  Three months solid and I stressed a lot about passing.  I studied in all my free time, I listened to the audio study guide every time I went in the car, I used the flash cards every night after work, took the practice exam, and completed the whole workbook.  When I finally took the test I was totally peeved that most of the intense/difficult material was NOT even on the test!!!

    Angel1201, that's so reassuring!

I'll probably be ordering mine in the next few days…I'm not fully decided on whether it would be more advantageous for me to get a personal trainer certification or a group fitness certification, or whether it would be best to just do both? Would that be too overwhelming? Any advice would be fantastic.

I now return you to your regularly scheduled penis programming.

I wouldn't bother with both yet (personally.) Start with one, then if you really feel the need, you can go back and get another later. Getting a second cert counts as continuing education units, so it would be better to wait so you can get the credits. I believe that they both can be used for teaching a fitness class. Is your goal to teach pole lessons? or any other fitness class that will have more than one person in it? If so, the group fitness would be geared towards that. I would assume personal training certs would be geared more towards one-on-one training.

Well Angel they cant take away all that knowledge you piled up and youve got it and have applied it and taken full advantage of it! I think it has served you well! I love your training and find it to be right on the $. I think the fact that the test wasnt so overwhelming is reassuring to a lot of people however.

Similar thing happenned to me w my opening innspection for my ALF- I worked SOO hard to bring my building up tp code- did a walk through before w the inspector of what was wrong when I got the building ( a lot) – worked my a$$ off fixing everything and when she came back to inspect- she barely looked in the rooms and passed me. I was ticked!!! I worked soo hard and I wanted her to inspect every room, door, nick and corner I had made perfect!! lol

I wanted proper total recognition for all my hard work!!

Thanks Paulette, glad to hear you like it!  You're right, having all that knowledge is awesome.  It's a great foundation for teaching pole classes and I'm so glad I did ACE.  It has opened many doors and I think they are a fantastic agency!  https://www.studioveena.com/users/view/bc80c17c-d89d-11df-ab19-12313b090e12, I'd go for Group Fitness if you are going to be leading pole classes.  There is content on class waivers, cueing, group psychology, group program design and so forth.  Very appropriate for  pole class.

I would recommend focusing on one at a time. However, you will want to keep the renewal dates as close together as possible so that your CEC's can apply to both.  The PT is about 3x as much info as the GFI.  But, about 1/4 of it applies to both.  Keep in mind you will have to pay renewal fees for both too.

    Hi Ladies!

I just began studying for the GFI exam and I started with the Essentials of Exercise Science book. It's taking me forever to get through just the first 15 pages because there's so much informtation. I was looking at the exam outline for the GFI, and it doesn't even look like there is a lot of anatomy on the test. Is that true? Am I wasting my time studying things like the skeletal system? I'm wondering because the exam outline showed mostly class design stuff.

    Please Help!

Call and ask to talk to one of the study coaches. They are really helpful.

    Hi Paulette,

I am actually studying for ACE right now.  If you need a study buddy or to help motivate, then message me.  It is very overwhelming but I really like learning all of this stuff.
