ACK! OMG! Now what? Picture proofs are back
Now I need to decide which ones to get. I have 26 of them favorited….and want to narrow it down to fewer than 10. I don’t want to go broke, lol. I think I can get a CD with all of my picks at low-res for online posting, but how on earth do I narrow them down for print???? Some will go on the studio wall but I’ll let the owner choose those. I may put a few up in my home studio….not sure.
I would totally post them but they’re copyright protected and I’m concerned about getting in hot water with the photog…..it’s killing me because I WANT so badly to post them for input!

usually copyright protection protects the photogs work, they’re still yours. that would be like JC Penney telling me after they snap my kids, I can’t hang them on the wall to show my family! you’re not "distributing" them and you’re not selling them or using them in advertisements. If it helps at all, I always scan portraits of my kids to show off on myspace or facebook, and the feds havent shown up at my door yet! the trouble would come with copying them or printing them……they want their moola for each paper photo you can hold in your hand!

Oooooh its such a pity you cant show us so we can help you choose!!! What you have to do is examine each photo as much as possible, like with a magnifying glass if you have to and any photo with even a teeny tiny thing you’re not happy with then put it in the ‘no’ pile! Best of luck my dear x

What I meant is that the digital proofs are protected and can’t be downloaded…..there is a workaround but I hate to do it, KWIM?
BTW, I used to work with copyright/trademark attorneys….if you scan a professional image and post it, without getting permission and/or crediting the photographer, technically speaking you are breaking the law. Most places sell digital rights as well as prints.

Does the photographer have them online at all? I know lots are posting things online with a password (weddings and senior photos are done this way now a good portion of time). Usually they have the image with some watermark across it. Those would be quite easily linkable.

OK, I put a few representative pix up in my profile. These are some of my favs….if you had to narrow the list to, say, 5-7 images, which would you choose?

Funny that 3 of my faves are not pole related. I like the 2 wall shots, the pin up girl shot and the CAR.

So, my choices would prob. be: Bridge, CAR, Pin-up, Wall (black&white), and maybe folover and pole sit.

I choose Bridge, CAR, Pin-Up, Pole Sit (the one where one arm and one leg is extended), ‘Folover’, Plank (cause I like your body angle) and ‘Another Brick in the Wall’. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_thumright.gif

– The Pole sit where it’s more like a stand (arm and leg extended)

Well, I decided to get prints of 8 of them and to get all 125 on CD. And I am eagerly awaiting my next chance at photography. I want to get some more dramatic ones next round….after seeing amyxshi’s hotttttt photos, I want some too! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif
