When I go back to my hometown (where I don’t have a pole), I always free-dance in my room every morning. I put on the same songs I would pole to, and move my body to the music. Dance is dance! Pole is also about emoting music, and freeing your body. If you’re into the dance aspect of pole, any form of freestyle dance practice will inevitably enhance your pole skills. It is also very cathartic.
I also practice floorwork, do pilates (for strength), flexy training, etc. It’s good to spend time away from the pole sometimes, because we get to focus on things we wouldn’t normally focus on-like it’s rare that I will spend a 2 hr session on floorwork. Imagine how much better you would be if you focus exclusively on floorwork for a whole month?
Having a pole at home has greatly enhanced my winter months, so you might want to consider getting one in the future. Otherwise, Cheer up and try to see the positive side! Hope I helped 🙂
