Looking for tips on how to be active throughout the day. I get to stay at home, but I also work from home, AND I live in Minnesnowta. Those 35-40 below days we have during the winter are a beast. I have incorporated the tennis ball hand exercises while I watch tv on my pole strength days, but is there anything I can do at my desk? I was told sitting on a stability ball is good. Is this true? What are some good simple exercises to do while watching a movie?

I sit on a stability ball in my cubicle. It doesn’t add much strength or burn extra calories. It offers a cushy place for my bum, forces me to improve posture, and when my back and shoulders feel tight I just lie back for a good stretch.

I agree with the stationary bike. I like Schwinn Airdynes.. the older the better. They are tanks and can take a beating, and you probably could find a cheap one on craiglist

Squats are great to do while watching a movie! Leg extensions are too. I also like doing my stretching routine while I watch tv with my husband.

Thanks, DancingQueans, already found a free stationary bike! SHAZAM! My aunt saw my post on Facebook and offered me hers. Score! I should definitely use a stability ball for posture, Laura. I need help with mine lol! Squats are a great one, too!
