Adjuster rod wont move up and down
So I am having a bit of a nightmare of a time. I bought my pole a year ago and havent actually managed to get it up. the ceilings in my new place are too low, even adjusting it to the LOWEST height with no extensions. I gave up for a while, left my pole for a few months, now ive switched rooms with my flatmate …these ceilings ARE high enough but for some reason now the adjuster rod seems as though it is stuck. 🙁
I unscrew the adjuster case, i then make sure the three little screws above it are flush and undone, and then try to twist the pole round to adjust the height and it just wont budge…it will sort of move side to side, or if i twist really hard with ALL my strength it will turn a little bit, bt not enough to gain any actual length.
I'm wondering if maybe its because i have left it for such a while without doing anything to it….maybe some WD40 sprayed on the actual adjuster rod would help. Do you think it would? Please help guys…I'm desperate, I realy want to pole. 🙁
