Advice for a begginer!!
Posted by katerinakatsat4281 on April 10, 2015 at 5:39 amHi, i would like to ask you some questions about this online learning type. Am totally unaware of pole dance ,but i want to give my best self on it, so i ‘d like someone to tell me ,is that kind of teaching like being in a studio? As i can see there are daily videos. So my everyday practice is based on that videos? or do i have to perform for example 2 videos a day?

If you are subscribed to Veena’s lessons, and you haven’t poled before, it’s best to start her 30 day program. Her lessons are in order, and they will advise you on what to do. If you find you have other questions, you can post a question for Venna and she will respond to you with an answer! Her lessons are very similar to studio classes. If you are learning at home, they are EXCELLENT! They are also very helpful to supplement your classes with if you attend a class. Hope this helps! 🙂

Im worried about the same thing. I have no classes or studio near me. I am considering purchasing these lessons as well.

I did not have a studio to go either, I taught myself at home at first, then did Veena’s lessons. I loved that I could learn at my own pace. Being older I was terrified of falling, or breaking bones. I was quite comfortable with Veena’s structure. Now some years later, I own the only studio where I live. I still purchase lessons for a year, every year because Veena is a wonderful source for me as a poler, studio owner, and instructor! AND! her videos are available 24/7! So you do it when you have time! 🙂

You can totally learn just from the lessons! Everything is in order and you’re just a click away from my help if you have questions on any lesson. If you post a question to a lesson I reply asap 💜 I have successfully taught dancers without ever meeting them for 7 years now!

There is a studio by me that I really enjoyed going to, but as a college student with a job it is really difficult for me to find a class at my level that works with my schedule. I didn’t want to just stop learning all together, and that is when I came across this site! I’ve had the lessons for a little over a month now, and do not regret investing in them at all (one class at my studio costs more than a month of lessons here). Home learning might not be the best option, but nonetheless it keeps me moving forward, plus, I can practice whenever I want. Veena does a great job explaining positioning and what not in the videos so it’s great for anyone starting out. Hope that helped!

I’m not really sure where where to post my question!! I just recently invested in a stage pole. It is super slick! I have only been able to stretch and do some basic spins on it. It is nearly impossible for me to hang on it and climbing is impossible. I am a 56 year old rank beginner. How can I take to slick and change it to stick?? I would appreciate any advice.

Hi and congratulations on starting a new adventure. I started poling at 55 and had to adjust for dry skin. Go to my page-I have a response regarding this issue as I had the same problem after purchasing my pole.
