It’s amazing. I’ve only been able to practice using the door frame, but there’s actually a good amount of stuff you can do there. Lots of fun stuff and it works out kinks in my back and hips like nothing else. Ahhh the beauty of passive inversions. Who knew…I’ve believed inversion therapy after seeing Wayne’s World 2, which is a very reputable source. So far so good

My wife takes an aerial hammock class at Rising Goddess here in the suburbs of Chicago. I’ve dropped in co-ed once or twice. I prefer some of the stretches hammock allows, although traditional yoga moves seem better for others. One really cool aspect of a vertically rigged hammock is being able to go up into frog and use the hammock to stabilize a weak or imperfect handstand. Since your feet are basically “tied up” you cannot fall over and you can “play” with balance.

Joel, I totally agree! I am hoping to get my handstand this way. Some of my yoga poses have really improved off the hammock since I’ve been using it. They are wonderful compliments! It also has been nice because my joints are kinda loosey goosey, so stretches where the whole limb is supported has been really helpful. So cool your wife likes the hammock and is a hooper too! I’ve just started getting into hooping, and while it’s much harder for me than pole, it’s been really fun!
