So I have been looking and I am considering investing in a 50mm Titanium Gold XPole.  I have the chrome and Love it but I want the extra grip of the TG.  Heres my problem…..I have heard alot of nasty things about the new "X-Joint".  It just seems like people are having alot of issues with them.  I understand why X-Pole made some changes but I really like the original design.  Does anyone have thoughts or feeling on the new poles?  I REALLY want one (and they are on sale right now) but something about them just makes me nervous…………… https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_eek.gif

    Thanks!!!!

Once I got the hang of tightening it properly, I haven't had any problems.  It did twist a couple times on me but didn't seem to affect the strength of the pole.  I just had to push it out with a broom.  I now check the tightness at least once a week (I leave my pole up).

The x-joint does work properly when you tighten it properly. You have to tighten each screw on either end with equal torque. I too have had the pole tubes twist on me, but you can easily bang em out with a broom stick. And that only really happened when I first bought my pole and didn't know any better. 😛 But it doesn't matter what kind of design they come up with, it's never going to be trouble-proof unfortunately. But I do believe the x-joint is better than the old design. Just make sure to keep the threads clean!

I love my TG 50mm!  I had one tiny mishap but it was user error from not thinking and working too fast but it was easily fixed luckily.  Just make sure you watch the video they have on assembly and go slow and pay attention.  😉

Love the TG 50mm! Haven't had an issue with it, this far in, but I have read about the issues that some peeps are having 🙁

It's a great pole! If you get one, just make sure that it feels safe and secure before using it. Xpole is usually really good with customer service if you do have a problem.

    Fingers crossed for you!!!!!!

I have had no problems with my Xjoints.  I make sure to retighten them everytime I use my pole and I check them frequently during practices. Xpole really is the best multi piece pole on the market right now.

I check the x joint everytime I get on my pole.  I figured I paid good money for it might as well take good care of it. My tubes have moved around thats when I really learned about the equal force in expanding the joint.  PennyGirl has a video on here talking about her experience with the x joint and her mishap which I think alot of us have experienced.
