I know some of you are dying to know what it's like, so here goes!
I got a lot out of this vid. I'm pretty flexible, but I'm always interested in seeing if I can get MORE flexible and I believe this product will do it! It has passive, active and ballistic stretches (didn't know there WERE ballistic stretches) and everything is explained pretty well without going into too much detail.
What I liked about this: 1) the music (going to have to buy some Mother Tongue). It might not be to everyone's taste, but it makes me feel all *rawr* which I love when I'm stretching. The graphics, including the "warning advanced" signs 2) the warm up which was slinky and delicious, but I may need to dance around on cold days beforehand 3) the "take a break, that was intense" bit (it really was!)  4) the pole stretches and ones to incorporate into your dance and 5) the free dance which I danced with her (doing my own version, of course). It is a work out, make no mistake, but I found it highly enjoyable and I learned a lot!
What I was not crazy about: 1) there were times when I had my head down and the position switched and I was unaware of this. I would recommend watching it a couple of times beforehand so you can position yourself accordingly 2) there were a couple of times I could not see the feet when it would have greatly benefitted me to do so (the foot circles in the warm up and a back stretch on the pole) and 3) no incorporation of foam roller-ing in the work out itself. I think Veena has spoiled me for this! Still, I could and probably will foam roller after the warm up, now that I know how. You can even do the warm up, then pole, then do the stretching! Now some of you may try this video and feel suicidal about what you can do versus what she can do. She addresses this by telling us that it took her 3 years of hard work to get to where she is. Stretching does NOT come quickly and easily and it requires diligence people!
On the whole, the pluses outweighed the minuses for me and I recommend this video. I will try "Pure Splits" tomorrow and let you know how it goes!https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_geek.gifhttps://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gifhttps://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_heart1.gif

I got it at the Midwest Comp. Alethea brought a whole bunch with her. I just showed her the receipt  with my order number on my iPhone and got them. The rest of the orders are in the mail apparently, so yours should be coming soon!

@ Layla I love that song to.   Now I need to purchase the pure splits.  I don't even use my yoga or pilates DVD anymore. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif

I watched pure splits the other night. It was awesome and full of great stretches. Music while not really my fav is a lot better then elevator music on most stretching dvd's. I'm going to do the Stretching for pole one today 🙂

ok watched/did the stretching for pole one today. I will pretty much agree with LD's assessment of them. There were a few places where a little more verbal cueing would have helped but overall they are a quality dvd. Much better then the one I have from BeSpun (sorry that countdown clock makes me nuts) at least this one I can see doing! Going to alertnate with the pure splits. but not tomorrow having oral surgery and will be on drugs lol

I have them!! I've given the stretchign for pole a try and it love it. Espeically the focus on the shoulders and upper back. I also like that she incorporates the pole and uses both static and dynamic stretches.

I had the same problem as Layla though when my head is down, she changes position without telling you so and I missed a few times.

Is anyone having issues with the numbers being half cut off the screen as in you can see the 1 of the 10 and barely any of the rest of the countdown?  Also, on my 3 different dvd players, she is  half cut off during her dance section?  I've tried different widescreen and zoom options.  I guessing it was for artistic purposes???

I have experienced that too with the numbers and screen cut off. My television is about 14 years old so I was not sure if it is my equipment…. or how the disk was manufactured.

I love the content of the DVDs so much its worth it. I did wonder if it was just my old tv though. : )
