Does anyone know of any pole jams happening in NYC? I am finding more and more polers in the area, and would like to meet up!

I am willing to reach out to some studios to see what kind of rates they offer (which will probably depend on how many people participate). Or maybe we can find a Bar/Club that has (open) poles for play.

I’d like for this to be open to all levels (beg/int/adv), and happen soon. Please let me know if you are interested! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_smurfin.gif

you can rent studio time from body and pole, shockra, or NYPD. NYPD charges $325/hr. B&P charges (i believe) $25/hr but because they only have one studio, you can’t rent while they have regular classes- which means after 9:30 on weekdays or morning/evenings on weekends and only if they don’t have parties scheduled. shockra and NYPD have slightly more studio time available since they both have 2 large studio rooms. i’ve tried reaching out to EDC in the past and can’t get them to return my phone calls.

rbar in the lower east side has two tall poles and a lot of girls have pole parties there; if you call and let them know ahead of time that you want to reserve the pole area and how many people you’re bringing, they are very helpful.

generally, not that many "jams" happen in NYC because…. there’s so many pole studios, and there doesn’t seem to be too much overlap between students at each one. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_confused.gif

I don’t believe New York Pole Dancing rents out its space for pole jams. But, you can purchase private or semi-private sessions with an instructor OR have a pole party which is always supervised by a NYPD instructor. According to the website, a pole party is $30/person for a 1-hour party. $45/person for 1.5hours and $55/person for 2 hours. There is a 6 person minimum.

hey keex, i just spoke to tracy because i was looking for rehearsal space for a performance… those are the rates she gave me for a 1-hour rental. she said that for liability reasons she will not rent the space without an instructor and but we don’t need to have the teacher teach if we don’t want to; she said that alternatively, we could try to book all the spots in an open pole which is $50 per person but the max for open pole is 6 people. i’m a little confused now, but it seems like $30 per person is much more reasonable unless you have more than 10 people???
