Anybody else having video problems?
Posted by polefairy on November 6, 2010 at 10:37 pmHey,
I can no longer watch the videos here on the website. It’s been this way for a few months now, where it will play for a few seconds and then stop and start again etc. I updated my flash as suggested here but there is no improvement. The reason I ask is because I logged on to sign up for the lessons but I’m afraid to buy them and then not be able to use them https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_sad.gif
Anybody any suggestions?

I am having issues with video too – they play for a few seconds, then buffer for what seems like forever, then play for a few seconds, and then back to buffer https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_ncool.gif I used to be able to play videos perfectly, so I’m not sure why it has changed so drastically.

Ditto, and I also upgraded as recommended … I try rebooting, but it seems to be getting worse.
It’s not been a problem so much with the lessons, because everything is repeated and slow motion. But in some of the uploads, I’ll miss whole sequence, the buffering seems to last for seconds where before it was imperceptible. -

This is usually just a issue with newly uploaded user videos as they are being distributed to our Content Delivery Network. You can test this by trying to watch a video then coming back a few minutes later and seeing if it behaves the same way.
The lessons should be properly distributed to our entire network of hundreds of edge locations allowing you to watch them just fine. You can test this by simply viewing the free lessons on the home page.

actually old videos that I try to look at are doing the same thing https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_scratch.gif

Yes, I was looking at older videos, that have been in the system awhile — same problem.

I also have been having issues with videos. I thought it was just at work but it seems to be at home, also.

I also have been having video issues. I updated my Flash player as well. It’s so bad I can’t watch anything on the site. Any new performances Veena uploads I have relegated myself to only being able to watch on YouTube. As for the new lessons, I haven’t bought another month’s sub because of the issue, since pausing the video does nothing to help with buffering. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cry.gif

Please address video issues by contacting me directly. You can email me through my profile at https://www.studioveena.com/Webmaster or by email mailto:webmaster@studioveena.com.
The cause is usually different for each person and is not a universal issue.
