I fell off several times while trying to learn the CKR. Fortunately, since I was learning, I had thought to put down some pillows! It didnt hurt too badly and I pretty much expected it would happen at some point (hence the pillows). Be safe! If you're attempting a trick for the first time, put down some padding!

I fell while trying to get a photo of a CAR. I was in a hurry so I would beat the timer and my ankles came uncrossed. I landed on the top of my shoulders. Thank God I had my head tucked! My hands were spread to the sides like a cross, so they hit as well. I compressed my spine, but the chiroprator got everything realigned! I had photos, but stupidly deleted them. I should have had them enlarged and pasted onto my walls!

I did and it shook my confidence for a little over a month.
I was being bold and thought i could rock the Butterfly like i did last class. My teacher was helping another girl across the room and was unaware of my bold idea. So i got up there perfectly……but as soon as i extended my arm to push away from the pole, down i went. Chin first to hardwood floor. I amazingly didn't make a loud thud so the teacher didn't even notice. I laid on my belly stunned and recollecting myself. By the time the teacher came back over i was already up and doing spins {hiding my pain}. Too embarrassed to say anything, I didn't do inverts the rest of the class. Then I avoided inverts the next class but the teacher caught on. I fessed up and we worked on getting my confidence back up for the past month. Now I'm back to inverting without panic. I'm a lot more cautious though.

I've only ever properly fallen once… about 2 months back and I still get a little scared. We were basic inverting – A LOT – because a few of us were new to the class and she didn't know what we could and couldn't do. It was SO hot and I knew I was tired. So I've inverted, took my hands off, twisted round facing the floor ready to come down. Everything like usual.
Then as I'm sliding down the pole with my arms and hands out ready to touch base with solid ground my legs gave way and my hands – instead of hitting the floor like they are meant to – slid forward and I landed on the top part of my left chest and my chin – legs still half suspended… pretty funny if you imagine it in your head – believe me all I could do was laugh – a mix of embarrassment and pure surprise.
Now I'm attempting any move my teacher will give me from Gemini's to Elbow grips – any of it. But when she says 'Invert and come down so we can check our grip' I still have to have her come and stand and spot me out of pure fear when I twist and look straight down to the ground.

I fell on my face (literally, I managed to land on my face) trying to do an Oona split. I fell a million different times trying to do an Allegra. Oh and last weekend I meant to drop and catch myself from a Star and instead ended up landing on my feet in a very obvious fall in front of a group of people. Don’t drink and pole, it hurts.

Last Friday I was in "sad girl" pose when someone in class cracked a joke. I stared laughing and knew I was in trouble. I dropped to the floor like a rock! Lucky for me I landed butt first because of the pose I was in. I'm sure, at some point, I'll land on my face too.

Fell out of a bow and arrow ONTO MY HEAD. Never doing that move again. EVER!

I fell out of Remi sit on a spinning pole. My flexed foot stopped flexing ever so slightly and I would have landed on my head but instinct took over and I grabbed the pole with one hand and kinda with my butt long enough to avert disaster. It turned me off that move for a while but I got back up and tried it again next class (not on spin) until I felt comfortable enough to try again on spin. Then I put it in a routine for competition and practiced it over and over again. Now it's one of my favorites!
