Oh my goodness can someone, anyone please help with this! I can dead lift into my inverts from the floor, at least 3 or 4 on my strong side. but up the pole just will not happen. I seem to use my inside leg to kick off the pole when im moving from a pole sit to the side of the pole, and can get my outside ankle hooked and have to pull my a** up the pole!!!!!

I teach pilates, and my abs are strong as is my core. Im a physio as well, so i know my core is good. I think my problem is not letting my arms lengthen and tilting the head back, but even when i do remember to do this i cant get my butt over my head. I also work on dead lifts from floor, tuck inverts from floor.

I will be grateful forever is someone can help me out!

A video would help immensely in this case. When I invert aerially I have my hips completely in front of the pole and the pole tucked in my biceps with my arm bent and as close to my body as possible.

I only properly got this last week and it was when my teacher said as Chem said: hips in front of pole not to side. Also look at ceiling.

For some reason it’s easier for me to go to chopper/V first though this is meant to be harder. It is automatic to bring crotch to pole and curl lower abs and pelvis into pole and use legs to tip me back from a V.

Her other tip was bring knees to elbows….
