Artistic pole videos
hey ladies– thinking about doing a video shoot and i'm really excited! i'm trying to put together links for the videographer to see for style references. was wondering what some of your favorite pole videos are? not for the tricks or the dancing, but the way it was edited or shot, or the lighting or staging.
alethea's dark ones at her home pole stage are very high on my list =)

I was going to mention the Aletheas dark videos. I love those! I also like the use of light in her 13 video where the light is placed close to her and the shadows are emphasized in shots. Also this one is neat the way the doorframe of the room is used in the video like you are getting a glipse into one of her practices. The mirror is used to angle the light and also showcase her movements. Also the switches between close ups and full body movements add a lot of variety to the video.

From a creative standpoint, her videos are by far my favorite.
This will be a neat thread to follow, I look forward to hearing about the videos others like.

the harry potter video is really creative and funny to watch but for an artistic pole video i think it´s a bit too much. i think i nice location and different perspectives mixed with some beautiful moves are enough (like in all the other videos posted before)

I cannot view videos here at work but I remember Veena did one not too long ago where in one part she was standing on a ledge next to her steps (it was her ET video). I think her red video was pretty hot, too.

Interesting vids! (ps: I don’t comment much here, but in recent times, I see in this forum whenever a person post saying what she likes, there bound to be someone else saying she disagrees or doesn’t like it. The point is no one is asking for your opinion, and you might end up offending someone. AND you might never know the person eg doing the Harry Potter vid is a member of this forum)

@ spinner: if you are refering to what i said, i didn´t want to say i don´t like the harry potter video. it´s amazing and the person who made it put a lot of work into it. just wanted to say that i would keep it a bit simpler, but that´s just a personal opinion and i didn´t want to offend anyone.
i think everyone should be allowed to mention their opinion and it´s good to have different opinions. this can create new ideas. wouldn´t it be boring if everyone just agrees to everything?

Oops…sorry I forgot to include your videos Veena. I figured your vids were a given for being artistic, but I guess maybe some havent seen them. I actually think all of yours are artistic because you do different lighting, props, angles and backgrounds in each one.
