Hi everyone. I recently started pole dancing and due to my busy schedule, I wanted to find a way of practicing at home. I came across a website (Similar to this) that was providing online lessons also available for download and on DVD.  I paid for the lessons and ladies (maybe gents too) let me tell you…  IT WAS A HOT MESS!! Her course that she claimed to have put together was just a collection of YouTube videos!!! She just got a bunch of videos off of YouTube that are totally unrelated to her and makes people pay for them!! This woman claims to be a renound pole dancer/instructor but she's just a scam artist. Believe me when I say, if you are looking for an at home pole dancing course you are better off sticking to Veena, the price is worth it and she is legit. (I wasn't paid a dime to say this, I'm trying to save someone from the betrayal I experienced). I'm not sure if I am allowed to mention names on here, apologies if I am violating any rules but the lady went by the name of Amber Starr and her website is http://www.poledancingcourses.com/

In looking around her site I recognized a bunch of the video as the ones that you can get for free on youtube (she even has a flirty girl image on there).  Second thing that stands out is she says she is a "master pole instructor" but does not say where she got that title.  Lastly, that site oozes of cheap "build your own website".

Oooo…I did not even see her "click per site" pay set up under affiliates.  I can pretty much guarantee you that all of her "testimonials" are her click per site "affiliates".

Whoever created this site went so far as to block themselves from searching who created the website.

This drives me nuts that people have these rip-off websites when there are others out there like Veena who put so much thought & effort into what they do!

I wonder if the owners of the youtube video clips realise what they're being used for!

How disappointing. I can't imagine how the people of those youtube videos feel knowing that their personal vids were being used to make this woman money. I'd be furious. I haven't checked into other at home pole lessons but now I will look out for the scammies. Hell NO am I paying good money for crap!

Has anyone informed video owners? Asking money for videos you do not have copyright over is pretty illegal.

That is a real shame, I have seen those videos already on you tube you are right…you can watch them for free…how rude..

Just by looking through the pictures on here, I'm immediately seeing videos from Youtube, specifically if you search "How to Pole dance for Beginners." There's ones from Studio soiree, as well as another studio (whose name I can't currently remember), as well as quite a few pictures from the Pole dance encyclopedia thing (I'm so bad with names! They had a whole list of moves, with videos to go with them).

The "Star Site Secure" badges at the very bottom of the page actually take you to the Order section of the website, and thus are likely not secured by anyone at all.

I'd also like to say that their use of Flirty Girl Fitness pictures is straight up plagarism, and their use of Youtube videos in this way (as in, to make a profit) is quite illegal. I don't know for sure about the others, but I'm sure it's also quite shady.

It's very unfortunate that someone would do this, and I very much hope you get your money back!

Now, if you'll excuse me, I have some e-mails to send…

How did they trace it back to her? Out of curiosity? I would hate to have a bunch of people mad at her if it's not 100% definitely her.
