    Hey everyone! I’m looking for all the help I can get. I am having the worst time doing the basic invert and the wrap around move! I can’t get my leg up high enough for the invert and for some reason they don’t wanna act right with the wrap around either. I have a recital coming up in may and I would like to do both. HELP!!! You’re sweetness is greatly appreciated!

    For the basic invert, it sounds like you need to build some more strength. For more info on the basic invert, and which muscle groups to strengthen (and how) check this thread: http://www.studioveena.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=793&st=0&sk=t&sd=a

    I’m not sure about the wrap around.. Is that the same as the corkscrew? Or is it a cradle spin? Dunno. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_question.gif

    I was gonna suggest strength training as well. I still struggle to get the basic invert but since ive done more working out its getting easier.

    The thread that EVamp suggested is the bible for inverting as far as I’m concerned. If you’re having problems getting your leg up, you may not be strong enough yet. If you’re aiming to invert by May and you’re that close I’m sure you’ll get it in time for the recital. Just take a step back and try to work on some of the exercises suggested in that thread and you’ll get it (and safely) in no time.

    Can you describe a wrap around?
