Hello, this is my first discussion post and I thought I'd start off with patting myself on the back and announcing success with pole moves. 🙂

It's Christmas Eve and I successfully accomplished the Front Hook! After months of trying and failing horribly. Looks "easy" but was not for this poler. I hated this trick so much and for so long and now that I finally got it I'm walking on sunshine.

So who else got a trick they've been struggling with? Had you been cursing yourself and your pole throughout the time you've struggled?

Welcome to SV and CONGRATS on getting the front hook spin!

I recently got my butterfly after struggling with it for ages. It's such a good feeling!

It's an amazing feeling! What was really messing with me was that I naturally got the back hook. But could NOT do the front hook to save my life until now. Lol. Crazy. Main issue I had was my non-hook leg refused to leave the ground when I went to push forward.

I had this when I first started working on spins. My backhook is still better than frontwards lol! Right now, I'm working furiously to try and do an elbow stand and a bridge. With the pole, I'm mainly working on strength and transitions in hopes of getting up side down one day.
