  • Best Music for a Dance Workout Class?

We're starting a new class at the studio this month that will be a workout class for polers.  I feel like it is deserving of a new playlist or two on my MP3 player but can't decide what music would be best.  The class is 45 minutes and the last 15 will be stretching so I'd like it to be 30 minutes of upbeat music and 15 minutes of a more chill nature.  Any suggestions?

Second mention of the day:  Check out some of the workout and dance song tracks at 8tracks.  There are some incredible workout ones on that site.  I have several playlists for my normal classes…I have warmup, emotional and bluesy that I will usually use for warm up and cool down.

Wish I could see the playlists on 8tracks without having to listen to them.  Thanks though!

    Anyone else have input?

In These Shoes by Kirsty MacColl is upbeat and sassy!

Seven Nation Army by The White Stripes

Faster Kill Pussycat by Paul Oakenfold

    Play by J. Lo

    Juicy by Better Than Ezra

Stop Space Return by Crazy P

Maybe some of those will strike your fancy??

I play the music in the background while Iam doing things like paying bills or surfing the net.  I will pop back if something catches my fancy and like it, that way I can go and search out songs in one sitting.

Sometimes I find stuff on my ipod that I totally forgot about that work great too.

The Noose – A Perfect Circle

    Black Coffee – Everlast

Mercy on my Soul  – Everlast (ok, so I love the whole Eat At Whiteys album!)

    Teeth – Lady Gaga

How about some of the tracks from Brittney’s album. I play Gasoline, and Big Fat Bass in my warmups.
