I’m new to pole and I’m looking for a good pair of shoes that can endure climbing and provide some grip. I was really excited about a pair of Pleaser shoes I bought, but after just a few minutes of climbing the patent tore a huge hole! So bummed! I loved the look of these but obviously these aren’t going to hold up for long. Would the plastic kind be better? I’m not into boots, so I probably won’t go that route. Thanks for any help!

Yep, I find the clear plastic ones to be very durable and useful for climbing

Anything with clear plastic straps. Pleaser has a wide variety of colourful and fun heels that come with plain clear plastic straps. ☺

I think the reason why the “Patent Leather” Pleasers tear so quickly is due to the fact that they aren’t really patent leather (I believe they are vinyl). I have some “Patent Leather” Pleaser boots that I have had for several years and yes, the coating has started to peel a little but they were inexpensive (as compared to real patent leather) and I can do little touchups with my Sharpie 🙂
