    Hi everyone!

What is the best weight training routine to heklp with strenth etc for pole? How often should you go to the gym and how long/reps/sets etc should this routine be?

I cant afford a personal trainer and I am 47kg and sometimes get told I look scrawny so I am wanting to build up lean toned muscle, just like a dancer =)

Have you considered Veena's lessons? If not, then you should! She has lessons for conditioning, stretching, foam rolling, beginning – advanced pole, hula hoop, and more.

Another great addition is the 30 Day Take Off – She maps out what you should be working on everyday for 30 days! If I were you, I would give the lessons a try. You will be so glad you did!

Have you looked at the strength and conditioning lessons here on the site?  You can view them for 3 days for free using the code GET3FREE.

This is not an easy answer because pole not only uses strength but also flexibility and endurance, along with plyometrics.

Agreed with everyone else! Try the lessons, they are geared toward building strength for pole. I find that lots of pull ups, push ups, and pole holds are great for strength. Veena has an awesome core warm up on here that’s awesome for ab work. 🙂

If you can afford a gym membership you can afford the lessons here.  They really are cheap.

Or you can go and look over at Oxygen Magazine.  Not only do they have new workouts every month they will also teach you how to eat for the best gains.

There’s a book called “the women’s health big book of exercises” by Adam Campbell. It includes all types of exercises and body weight workout. You even don’t have to go to the gym. Pretty good. Only $15.45

I personally think if you are going to spend $16 on a book, pay the extra $4 and get a month of lessons here. You will get far more for your money :o)
