Best kind if pole for beginners
Any suggestions??

The studioveena pole, it’s easy to set up, fast to set up and take down and the powder coated finish is grippy so you avoid a lot if the slipping issues with other finishes. It’s static and spin and the price is good.

I love my SV pole. It’s really good for beginners. Nice and grippy like Veena said.

I got my Chrome Xpole for 2 major reasons…
1. I found a good deal on it
2. I felt like it was a somewhat “standard” pole (if there is a such a thing)I thought that it being pretty common and with a difficult grip, and so easy would require me to build up strength so I could eventually get on any pole and be alright. I didn’t want to worry about taking a pole class or attending a pole convention where they used slicker poles.
HOWEVER, looking back I do wish I got a a grippier pole. In theory learning on the “harder” pole sounds nice… but really it can be discouraging. I think building my strength and confidence on a pole with more grip would be nice.

Have you ever seen any if those videos where some girl goes to record herself and her pole comes loose? I’m concerned about that, is that commen?

In my experience that only ever happens with cheap poles. Get a studioVeena pole or an X-pole. Those things don’t budge as long as they are properly installed. Being safe is worth the money for a higher end pole!

I am a beginner – kinda. I bought an xpole xpert chrome right after Christmas. It is a sturdy pole. However, you almost need a PhD to learn all of the nuances to actually grip/use the pole. It is slippery and discouraging. You have to be able to have some grip to do anything. That being said, once you learn all the nuances and the moon and stars align for that day – the xpoles work fine. If I had a redo, I would probably go with SV pole.
Also, I am not overly pleased with response by the the xpole folks regarding this issue – I don’t believe in putting all the blame and responsibility on customers.

I’ve only ever used chrome x-poles, just putting my two cents in to say I really like mine. I have had one or two minor problems with it but xpole have always been very quick to respond with advice and even send me spare parts for free when I needed them. It was the only choice for me really as I didn’t want to drill into the ceiling. As for the slippiness, mine luckily wasn’t too bad when it arrived compared to a friend’s that I used, but I can see how if you end up with a really slippy one it could be discouraging. On the whole though I really like x-poles 🙂 I’ve heard r pole are very good but also expensive.

my xpole started unwinding on me when it was on static.
1. I didn’t tighten the joints enough
2.i had taken my pole apart to lube it up i think i over did it. i use to different lubes a spray and grease base.
after i put my pole together i started sprinting in some moves and jumping and i notice from the top it was unwinding. i just climb up and retighten all the joints and i haven’t had problems since. the only problem i have now is that my pole has left a permeate pressure stain on my carpet. ive tried to rube it off vacuum it up and nothing has helped i hope my apt complex don’t charge me for it. lol -
It’s totally subjective.. I am a beginner, I have only tried the x pole sport chrome (it’s not spinning) and it works great for me.. The only thing is that it makes a noise sometimes (it has been also reported by others).. At first it was a little bit scary but I got used to it.. 🙂
