Body housekeeping-hair removal
Posted by Catsanctuary177663 on May 25, 2015 at 3:15 pmWhat do folks use for hair removal methods? When I worked in the clubs I shaved/tweezed/did electrolysis. Never found a method I was totally pleased with. I would like to remove it all and be done with it frankly. Thoughts? Cheers, Anne
P.s. I have been away from dancing for 20 years , recently rekindled my love of poling with veena’s videos and feel like I’m 25 again! I missed hanging upside down!bugsy monroe replied 9 years, 6 months ago 7 Members · 6 Replies -

I am currently getting electrolysis and getting good results. From my research it is the only true permanent hair removal option. I did read a lot about laser, but the results were mixed based on the reviews and there were not any studies on long term effects.
Only issue with electrolysis is that it does take a long time, but in the end it is worth it.Have you tried a Brazilian wax? I did that for 2 years and had good results as well.

I used to have waxing done fairly regularly but it didn’t work as well as I’d hoped, so I bit the bullet & had a full Brazilian laser treatment which took over a year of seven treatments with regrowth cycles. O.M.G!! I could not believe how painful it was, but three years on there’s been hardly any regrowth. It works best on dark hair but it’s certainly not for everyone. I love the results however & I’d recommend it based on that.

Shaving with coconut oil has been ace for me. Super close shave and coconut oil is an antibacterial so you don’t get razor bumps

I use an old-school safety razor (the king that look 1950’s-sh). Best shave I’ve ever had, but for something permanent I think laser/electrolysis is your only option.

I’m thinking of getting laser one day down the line. If money is a concern I know groupon may have deals for your local laser clinic. I would if course check the reviews of the clinic before buying the deal. Good luck!

I can’t recommend lasering highly enough!
i tried electrolysis and found it laborious and painful – not at all practical for handling large areas, and expensive, for obvious reasons.
modern laser is quick, virtually painless and, in my experience, highly effective. with groupon deals (and the subsequent offers made by most salons to keep your business thereafter), it’s also great value. i cannot beliiieeve that anyone would get salon-waxed any more, with the comparative savings of time and money available through lasering. it’s freed me from the hassle of having to think about my bodily hair, eliminating irritated skin, ingrown hairs and awkward re-growth periods…
i’d expect to need 12 sessions on each area (hormonal hot spots like the bikini line will probably need more), plus occasional top-ups. even without top-ups, my leg hair is now so fine that i can get away without shaving it at all.
