My pole is starting to curve outwards in the middle and is starting to split slightly and it can catch my skin when I'm doing some moves.  I've only had it a year and I am gutted, does anyone know why this has happened?  Is it possible that it has been tightened too much when I've put it up?

That is DEFINITELY a sign of over tightening. 🙁

Wow! I didn’t know that was possible 🙁 sorry to hear that! I would contact x pole & ask them what to do, you might be able to buy a replacement part or something. I only have solid piece poles so I am zero help on this.

I would def give them a ring maybe you could buy an A or B pole to replace the bowed bit.  I had a sport for a year and they were very helpful with a cluncking sound it had.  xx

Thanks for the help, someone else has been putting it up for me and think they were worried it would fall down if it wasn't on tight enough.  My own fault for being lazy and not doing it myself.

I overtightened my first sport pole and the ceiling has a  little dent in it, it's easy to do because I was  scared of it falling, Good luck with getting it sorted.
