Bruising & Such…
Here are my classic woes that don't seem to be changing for me or getting any better as time rolls on with my pole training…
First I'll start with a question: Why is it still hard for me, after almost 2 years of poling, to get a good solid knee pit grip for my Gemini? I am strong enough for things such as your basic inverts (my strongest and most controlled is via shoulder mount) and I can climb with no problem but I can't seem to get the pole to stay just right inside of my knee pit. Any thoughts?
Here are my own theories: My calf and thigh muscles are sort of large which I thought might be a hinder to my progress. Also, the pole that I work on is a 50" or 55" mm size pole and I thought that maybe it was that I'm working on a larger sized pole. If anyone has any ideas based on the info I provided please enlighten me.
My other issues to discuss are the frequent bruising I experience especially with climbing. Does this ever subside? Am I doing it wrong? I can't seem keep from bruising and was wondering if anyone else out there who have been poling for a while still experience this issue.
