Anyone have a good video or instructions on how to go from the butterfly into a Gemini in which your bottom hand is supporting you and your are more horizontal than vertical. I’ve seen Veena do this before just don’t know the correct name for the positions.

Which leg is hooked on the pole? The inside or the outside? Sounds like you’re describing a flatline scorpio but I’m not entirely sure

yeah it does sound like the flatline scorpio, and i think it’s easier to get into it from an extended butterfly (for me at least). i could try to make you a video, but i haven’t really perfected this move yet!

It would be the inside leg that would be hooked. I belive what you said was correct about the flatline scorpio.

I have a vid but it is a bit pants – my bunkbeds get in the way, so my flatline isnt a very flat line.

Instruction wise it’s a case of; from butterfly drop your bum down so you end up with one leg (the one on the pole during the butterfly) straight with the ankle hooked on the pole, and the other leg free. Now the free leg needs to hook onto the pole, then the straight leg can be taken off the pole.

Anyways here’s the vid, edited to leave out some horrendous freestyling https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif

That was it. Thanks for the video.

I’m going to give it a try during my practice this afternoon.
