Post-class report: um, MOTH is hard! & scary (kinda) & weird… Maybe bc new? But I feel more tangled up in it than in b’fly, where I like (& count on) being able to open my whole body (hips & all) up outwardly, away from pole. W/”moth” I’m stuck centered acing

When I had posted this on a facebook group that was one thing I had mentioned, you really cannot transition into an extended butterfly fom it becaseu you are totally facing the pole. But I wonder if it is a good move to be able to get your balance for things like split grip inverted moves?

I think it might be, chem – maybe you could press your knee onto that outside arm to aid with balance? I think I saw something like that in one of the Art of Pole DVD's when practicing for an ayesha, though I could be wrong!
