Buying Thigh-high boots
Hi y’all, I’m off to ago for some black thigh-high boots for pole today, any tips or advice regarding fit, material, design? I want good grip on pole and ease of movement to dance in, so I think I’m going to avoid laces/studs and just go for simple black… What r they made out of btw, pleather/plastic/latex? I have no experience with pole boots so any info/help would b appreciated! Thanks!! Xo

Most of the thigh hi's that do not have laces are just a coated lycra material and will rip the first time you use them on the pole. There have been quite a few threads on this. None of the companies will replace them as they will tell you that the shoes/boots are not designed for pole dancing.
Also, thigh his are extremely hot on your legs. If you are a leg sweater they are horrible.

I love them! They’ve held up through a lot of performances and have been loaned out quite a bit. The material does peel on the toes (black nail polish does wonders there) and they do get very warm but they’re awesome. They actually have too good of a grip, so I find that I can’t slide at all when I’m wearing them, and sometimes the shaft of the boot will stay while I slide which is also interesting. But I don’t think you can beat the look of a boot with a stick!

I used to wear Pleaser's X-Casino thigh high boots. They were great! Very thick and durable, as they do not stretch. They fit loosely around the thighs and zipped up the sides. They have a 4" platform with a 7 1/2" chunky heel. I never experienced them tearing on the pole. However, I haven't been able to find that exact boot any more. I do think they still make a "Casino" boot, though.
